Estate Halls and Carter Post 1 Year, 2 Months ago

So I'm strictly a free build w/ events guy, I didn't get very far in the eco and military modes where this was probably explained, but what exactly is the function of the carter post and estate halls? I've figured out that the Warlord Keep generates outlaws and the abbey generates monks, but what is the function of the carter post and estate halls?

I'm the total opposite ov you lol
All I play is campaigns and no free build
Well from my knowledge ov stronghold 2, the carter posts role was to transfer goods from one estate to another.

That makes sense. I've read through the campaign speech and used much of it in my custom maps and there are a lot of lines about requesting goods from other Lords. Might not even actually function in free build but I'll still include them in my maps sometimes to add some diversity to the building types.

The whole feature of estates is completely wasted in SH3!!
You're not even told how to use them!

Yeah I mean estate transfer doesn't even work (as far as I can tell when trying it) so I was wondering if maybe it had something to with that...

The estate transfer works automatically. The estate sends goods, if available, to your granary, armory, stockpile or keep.
I would like to see some new features, like manual control over which goods should be transferred and where, and possibility to choose in the map editor if the horse cart could be killed. But for now I think the devs should take care of the lag first.
