That is all I hope they do with the current game; polish it and make it more playable. Well, I have to say, strong walls and skirmish still feel like they're missing though. With the way the gaming industry is these days, I do not usually play games until at least a year after they come out. RTS games are the exception. Now that too has changed. I will play SH3 now, but I anticipate the next one in which my hopes for these player and community ideas rest. There should be a forum for the next one as soon as it is announced. There and then I will reiterate my ideas more polished and thought out.

Economy is not that hard like on sh2.
The main problem is still the balance between sell/and producing.
On legends or sh2 everybody was able to make a economy by food so on shl we sold 5 apple 20 gold now 5/8 what makes it way harder

More interaction with your peasants: you don't do much with your peasants in SH3. What I would suggest is things like:
*Public feast. You could trigger one of these at any time and all the peasants would stop work as long as the feast endured. It would bring a whopping ton of honer and instantly fill your popularity.
*A new popularity factor. One thing could be that once you finished constructing your castle you would receive a popularity boost because people felt safe in your castle.
*More realistic population. It would be nice when you have empty houses instead of having peasants "appear", a group of people would come from the edge of the map and come to your castle. Also you should be able to choose if you want to allow peasants to enter your castle. If not the only way to sustain your population would be to have children in the castle grow up and become fully grown and capable peasants.
*You should also be able to choose if peasants can leave your castle or not. Then if ran you out of food, they rebel and try to take over. once your popularity recovered, it still would take time before your castle's "prestige" recovered. This is really what should attract peasants to your castle. Peasants won't come if you aren't a prestigeous lord with a reputation that isn't attractive.

*Public Feast - It is easy to bring popularity to the max when peasants are upset, just drown them in food and money when the population plummets. What they need to do is make them leave/come faster so that you can do this without it slowing the game down to the point you might have to start over, and the honor thing sounds like cheating.
*Wall enclosure popularity factor. This would make certain strategies not involving a wall more difficult.
*More realistic population. If peasants came from the edge of the map there would always have to be a clear edge not to mention the wait if your castle is far from the edge. They could be eaten by wolves and killed before you had the ability to protect them. Having children grow super fast and become the new population is not realistic, not to mention difficult.
*I like this idea, if you let your popularity go down peasants could instead attack you and your troops then new ones would arrive when your popularity returns. Good for military more than economic. Should be dependent on game style.

Yes, prestige sounds better and the peasant thing might work if it was a large group and they were safe, although I think they should come from villages and such instead of off the map.

A little more on the prestige. Now first of all we all know we will have to wait till the next SH before we get any of these thing added. But anyway: I was thinking more about the peasant feeling secure thing. For every couple peasants kill by an enemy without troops in the area activily trying to save them,you would lose some honer Joe.

I like the idea about peasants doing chores and stuff but I dont think having more peasants will benefit the game.My dream in stronghold is to play a hard tactical skirmish for more than 5 hours.If there is going to be a strongold 4 it should have a skirmish.I would also like it to be slower and more enjoyable for me.For example,buildings should be more expensive and I dont like it when you buy a building it just appears.It should take time for it to build.Also,catapult should be way more expensiva but also efficient.SH4 should have winter and summer so that some farms work only in one season.I know that these are extreme changes and fixes and I really think they arent going to happen.Im just saying this because this is what I was waiting for in SH3 but nvm.Hope there is gonna ba a SH4 and its gonna be extreme.Good luck FireFly
