i made a massive army , so did the enemy, i ended up being able to only get 5 knights in and he had around 40 archers and like 10 spearmen, my 5 knights all survived. his archers were literally making a black line at my knights frm s many arrows.

that is just sad, i mean can not 1 archer accidentally shoot him in the head or something i mean there should be some sort of HEAD SHOT % or insta kill % something to balance out heavily armored units vs massive masses. make it so for that to not happen u need the engineers walls to protect u

this is true, I get that the lord should be really strong, but other units should be balanced, 40 archers loose against 5 knights? surely cant be right, no?

isnt that why you have crossbow men ?
(less range, stronger vs armored units)

yea, but the fact that 1 arrrow cant penetrate armour let alone 40 being shot at 1 person isnt right, i mean they dont even have shields? how realistic is that

where does it say the stats of troops? I have not seen anything that would imply that a unit is strong against one more than another

if you need stats to tell you a knight is better than archer wehn it takes 15mins longer to train knights is silly xD

I know that in Stronghold Kingdoms players have done testing on the different troops and found that the pikemen and swordsmen, who both wear armor, were toughest to kill. I do think that makes sense, compared to someone without armor. But I agree that having dozens of archers firing at a few swordsmen and not being able to bring them down would be frustrating and might be bad balancing of hitpoints.

I know this is a RTS game but even so, there should be % added imo to most games fr a change to headshot or hit a isnta kill spot like the heart temple spine vein etc. with different outcomes, *shot to the leg makes it unable for knight ti walk but his horse can still carry him
