After my first hour of gameplay, I havn't encountered some of the problems mentioned on here yet but I have a few others that I don't think have been mentioned before.
The UI feels a bit too invasive of precious screen space. It takes up a lot of it.
The mini map doesn't indicate north, so when you swivel your camera around for the first time, you have no idea which way is north. I remember the advisor on the first mission saying the horses are to the north and it just left me wondering where I should go.
The zooming in and out and rotation controls could be better. I feel restricted to a view that doesn't quite work for me. For example. I usually play most RTS's zoomed far out but still have that perspective view. When I zoom far out here, I'm restricted to top down view.
Rotating the camera is really sensitive.
I'm not sure about anyone else but the food consumption in my cities seem to be way too much, It's normal rations but all I seem to be building is food buildings and they're still complaining about the granery being empty. I'm guessing when I need to start building military structures and fielding an army my city will be in chaos!
All in all I'm really glad there is a new Stronghold. I've waited so long for this. I think you should have released an open beta and polished the game more than you have done, before releasing it.
With that said. I don't like all the aggressive feedback some users give. Because I'm a modder myself for Oblivion. What makes me work for weeks and weeks on end just to give people I don't know something cool is the positive feedback. I love constructive criticism too. That's how we improve ourselves. But when all you get is bad mouths and abuse, It's really disheartening and makes you want to quit!
Like I said, I'm really glad there's another stronghold

But lets not get aggressive to the devs, lets work with them so they can deliver a better game. And more importantly, give them the incentive to make another stronghold!
