It might be simply that there is no one online, Stronghold 3 has a very small online community and depending on where you are from you might only find the odd game now and again.
I live in England and have had many times where i couldn't find a game so i just gave up.

Like others have said, folks simply aren't playing anymore.
They have always been a niche fan base centric game, and they just seriously ****ed off their niche by having 2 SH games being released in beta now, and only later be patched.
The fans that were hanging on to wait and see considered the "this is the final patch" bit when they had only just got the game to an borderline acceptable 1.0 release stage to be the last straw.

but what could we expect when they code the game in C# and are even to lame to do that...
I reveresed parts of it ... trust me, I know what I am talking about.

PS: I still have to laugh when I think about the "unbreakable" cesar-chiffre parts of the game are decrypted with... I rly would like to know who is responsible for that ****-code ? - did you shoot him ?

ït is. love the multiplayer part of all stronghold games. but this one is unplayeble. but now it will never be playeble. they have stopped patching. and my spec are way over the what the game need. geforce gtx460 1g memory. quad core 3000hz. 8 gig 1333hz memeory
