That is somewhat debatable. If multiplayer was up and running smoothly for one and all at least that would add somewhat to its replayability.
But that is a big if.

Thus my quantifier "next to zero". I don't really play multiplayer so I stand by my statement. I do like the map editor but, one can only build so many maps before simple seiges become tiring as well.

Now add the abilty to mix and match more freebuild assaults, and I could feel a little more "like" for this game. Imagine TWO king seiges and the economy necessary to defeat hundreds and hundreds of enemy troops... I think THAT would be a lot more fun...

Good luck Firefly 1 Year, 5 Months ago
I hope Firefly is listening to this...

I'm not sure where to start, and I'm not expecting anyone to care about my opinion but... being a young game developer myself, I would imagine Firefly is actually quite hurt by the people here on these forums, and many other forums, badmouthing this game. I'm not implying that these people don't have merit to badmouth, but even I'm devestated by my own creations failing even the slightest.

I really want to give my love to Firefly as I've always loved their games, no matter how different they were to eachother. I highly respect their willingness to improve, and I wish them luck with the coming support they intend to bring for the game. I admit that I was anxiously awaiting the release of Stronghold 3 because I wanted a shiny, undated version of Stronghold Crusader, but when I didn't get it, I didn't find myself disappointed or angered, I simply understood the decision made by Firefly for their new game. Crashes, bugs or foreign mechanics never bugged me, and I found myself enjoying the game for what it is, like most games I play.

I have very high hopes also for the coming patches and features, I would definitely be lying if I said I wasn't eagerly awaiting some sort of Skirmish mode similar to Stronghold Crusader that I can Co-op/Solo AI Bash or vs some friends. Infact I'm partially expecting Firefly to make a Skirmish mode of some sort, as it's all everyone seems to want out of this game. But I do understand it all takes a lot of time, no matter how long I have to wait, the wait will always be worth it for a Skirmish mode to enter this game, that would make the game Timeless for me, just like most of Firefly's other games.

Please don't be discouraged Firefly, I thank you very much for being willing to listen to all of your fans, and for all the fantastic content you've given me thus far. Many games have come back from what seems like defeat, simply via a dedicated development team, and some helpful feedback. Something of value can even be extracted from people frothing at the mouth in anger about how the game didn't appeal to them or their needs, even though First world problems like that are hard to take seriously.

I'd shake your hand if I could Firefly, I hope you don't give up on this game. You're already well known for your superb, timeless games thus far, another entry to that list would be damn fantastic, and damn impressive.

I dont know about you, but I dont expect to pay over 50 dollars for a game that is this bad, the graphic are bad, it plays badly, they could have dressed up Stronghold 1 and 2 and had something that was a lot better then this. I would really like my money back.

Lewis, we all want to show our love to Firefly, or at least I imagine most of us do. However, perhaps this is a learning experience for the studio. This game was unfinished, and I'm tired of everyone excusing game companies for unfinished products, whether it be SH3 or BF3, I don't care, if you want me to spend money on your game finish it, I know that I'm not helping this way, but I don't go to a movie and pay $12 to see a movie where the actors are holding their scripts or every scene there is a microphone on camera. There is a minimum line of completion for different fields of entertainment; gaming and cinema are two very similar lines in my opinion. I would not pay to see an unfinished movie and I will not pay to play an unfinished game. I'm sorry firefly because I love SH crusader and SH2, I play them all the time, but if the game wasn't finished you should not have released it. I know your a small studio, but I WOULD HAVE COME IN PERSONALLY TO HELP YOU TEST IT, and I'm sure many would've done the same. There are ways to accomplish these things, and frankly all I see from a buggy, early release like this is laziness. And if your producer made you publish the game early, then you should have found a different producer. That's my 2 cents. Good luck guys, I hope this is worth the money one day, but I will never pay $50 for this.

Well I am not in love with firefly, I am just out 50 bucks. Unless I get my money back or they some how fix this game I am just never going to buy any products with the word firefly on it. Personally I think we should have a class action law suit filed against them.

Bit over the top to be honest. They are working on it. See what they release today.

Not really over the top. More like hitting the nail on the head. If you like paying 50 dollars to beta test and bug report then you must be very happy with SH3.
If your expecting a miracle patch im afriad your going to be let down.

You want a class action law suit filed against them?? I still haven't bought the game! If you were aware that the game didn't have a beta stage and was rushed why did you buy it on day one, and if you did, then why didn't you just get a steam refund? If not you must have bought it knowing that there were problems with it. I always wait for a PC game to be out for at least a week. As more often these days they are released with big problems.

Yes i know the public closed beta that they took applications for was never held.
Sadly you are placing the blame on the consumers instead of where it actually belongs which is with FF/7Sixty games.
The reason the beta wasnt held is the same reason why no reviewable copies were sent out to print/online review sites when the game went gold. They didnt want the word out that the game was a joke lest it cost them future sales.
As far as i am concerned i have every SH title to date ive even bought some of them many times over but as far as SH3 is concerned i gotta refund weeks ago.
Five almost six patches in and the game is still filled with bugs that is when it even runs.
Anyway after todays patch please do us all a favor and go buy the game for 50 bucks and tell us your thoughts.
