Let me know when they:

Add an attack move function.
Fix the patrol function.
Fix the troop stances (Aggressive/Defensive).
Factor terrain height into ranged attacks.
Make ordering troops reliable and consistent.
Make building walls actually work.

Without these things the game will remain unplayable in my book. These were my major issues from the start, and as far as I can tell from the patch notes, none of them have been addressed. I would love to be able to play and enjoy this game, but until these huge, GLARING flaws are corrected, I just can't do it.

I didn't add that because I never had the game crash, except when I was already exiting the game anyways. But then I've only played 5 hours. That is definitely something they should fix though, if it is giving people major issues.

We'll, at least I got one good news for you...

The defense of troops on walls has been increased, but I think he's talking about giving archers on walls a range bonus, as in previous games.

Not just walls. Ground - hills, cliffs, etc.

I know attack move was not in the original game and I have not seen anything about it in the patch notes. I've seen several other people asking for it too.

As for the terrain height, as I understand it, that still does not factor in at all. As Abaddon said, they added a defense bonus for troops on walls and fortifications, but there is still no range modifier for terrain height. So a group of archers on a cliff has no advantage over archers at the bottom of the cliff.

I will hand it to Firefly that every time they release a patch, they fix SOMETHING that really needed fixing. For example, the latest patch made it so that groups of different troop types move at the same speed when selected together. This will go a long way toward helping to improve troop maneuverability. Also, nerfing the wolves was a good move.

However, I think that they should stop wasting time and resources on making new maps or fixing things that are completely pointless (I can load games by double-clicking now? YES! This is the best day ever!) when they should be focusing on making the game WORK. All of the issues listed above have still not been addressed.

**** time, Multiplayer still not working well, people will start give up soon of trying im sure, the only good thing about this patch is the troops marching together now and the sound add-ons, other things are waste to be honest, new siege maps?? new multiplayer maps???? avatar changes? I dont know what FF is thinking but those can be aded later, please fix the important thing first for god sake.

FF is working very diligently to address the most important issues, and this includes how to allocate talent.

As far as "What is FF thinking?" or "wasting time and resources", keep in mind different devs have very different roles. When new features are added or current systems tuned please understand this does not necessarily come at the cost of other pressing issues being delayed or sacrificed. Case in point...I cannot code or assist in improving MP functionality. Does this mean I should sit idle when I could instead further polish my end of things and have these changes included in parallel for the most current patch? Of course not. The same goes for many of the others working on SH3.

That's what I'm thinking.

We're gaining ground, and thanks for the continued patience. I know for a fact people here are working hard on the issues that still require effort.

P.S. I personally and repeatedly bothered for the 'double click to load games' feature, so if somehow I slowed down other areas of development with that request I apologize.
