I have been very excited for this game since I first read about it, but some recent articles on it have made me question what kind of game it will be. In one of them they said the RPG aspects were VERY lite and almost non-existing.

So I am curious...what kind of game will this be? I understand there is a more "active" combat system, but will the game have good character customization, or with it be more like a Devil Man Cry type deal?

Item system? Will there be lots of items to find/craft/ect and will they have varying power? The initial "vibe" I got from the first interviews/previews was a 3rd person action-rpg hybrid that was something like if Arx Fatalis and Diablo had a baby...but now I am not so sure.

Will there be questing of some sort, and can we make determinations on how to solve them (like Arx Fatalis)?

Will our actions have an impact on the world?

And of course dying for some new preview information...don't make us wait too long!

(And damnit when is this game going to release? I don't need an exact date but we looking Q3/Q4 of this year?)

i beleave that it is more an action adventure then an rpg.

And i think it was nice to know, when the game will come out..
there are some more game i wait for linke venetica, dragon age(if it not becomes a copy protection with online activition) divinity2 and arcania-a gothic tale. They all should come Q3/Q4

I have a feeling there tryna find some ground between Zelda games and God of War. Which will be VERY interesting to see since the storyline looks extremely promising...

Not that I dislike either of those games...but that doesn't exactly sound like what I was expecting.

Firefly really needs to get some new updated info out or come to these forums and communicate with us...

Hi

Unfortunately am not really going to be able to answer all your questions as much as you'd like. Dungeon Hero is a Hack'n'Slash dungeon crawler with light rpg elements. You will gain skill points from killing enemies which can be used to upgrade the Hero's moves.

If you haven't already done so check out the EIEIO walkthrough videos.

Wow! First time I've seen the 3 gameplay videos.

But I've got a PC, that button combos style of playing is really not what I want in a PC game. Even if they say that the character sometimes performs the combo moves by himself for you, during combat.

And I really don't like the idea of going through hordes of enemies, barely getting out alive, just to gain the ability to perform a "quadruple-VanDamme-roundhouse-foot-*****slap" by holding down Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Up/Up/Left-Right+Left/PgUp while tapping Space-Space-Mouse Wheel.

I've heard they want to get rid of "+4 Dexterity" when leveling up and I like the idea of the dude swinging harder with each level gained, but all that, huge skill tree, full of fancy Jackie Chan move combos isn't something that I'd like.

As I said, it might be cool for a console player with his controller, to try out all those move combos, but I don't think it'll make me wanna go through the dungeon no man's land, just to gain a new killer hip move.

The game looks cool. I liked Arx Fatalis, Gothic 1&2, stuff like that. The "gaining new moves when leveling up" part puts me off.

I look forward to seeing exactly what innovations you are able to introduce to the game, it certainly sounds more realistic than the scores of Dungeon games available, so no chests full of gold or mighty weapons? Will there be merchants? Will weapons play an important part? If so,just how do you make a quick buck? Gosh I am getting so impatient to find out....

It'll definitely be interesting to see how this game shapes up but one thing is for sure, the concept is interesting lets hope it doesn't get ruined

hmm, well i think the game looks kinda cool!
I mean it seems like it isn't like all other games, and i mean if all games was the same it woldn't be fun too play anymore...

And the thing with the skill-tree seems cool.
And like someone from FireFly said in another post, that t isn't going to be gold/money in barrels is good, and tat u can't buy new swords and sheilds, is good too. I mean all other games are based at what items you have. And this is more based at how good you play

i mean i hate those kind of things too, but then looking too the gameplay/trailers it dosenät seem that you will need too do this.

And the Story seems cool!
