Is there anything at all that can be done to make the game widescreen compatible ? It's grinding my nuts that I can't play it on my laptop, without everything getting stretched.
How about a patch or something making it widescreen friendly, at least.

Try check the settings for your monitor (you know, right click the desktop, select Properties) and see if there are settings somewhere for scaling (not to be confused with the resolution). You can also try set your monitor at a resolution that is as close as possible to that of the game. Just make sure the resolution of the monitor is not lower than what the game is running at.

I had no idea (until now) the display driver could do that. I'll look into this opportunity.

mhmm I'm playing all Stronghold title on a widescreen display and I have no problems.
|

Well, it's better than stretching the image to fit the width of the screen. It still stretches a little, but it's better now, thanks for the headsup, PCDania.
