As long they make a good support and not a lazzy support like on Stronghold Legends i have no probs to pay for that game.

people with no prior exp with firefly wont throw mone on somthing they havent tryed. hell i wouldnt so you need to get out a free trial. but the problem is how do you get a trial out for ammorts? for a mmorpg its easy cuase if you say"i dont want this" you just leave but in this game week leavers would clog it past the point of no return. with mocrotransactions your game altleast stands a chance. mabye the first servers can be microtransactions and then you can have mor advanced faster rounds called "sub servers" like hoe coke made coke new and it was terrible so they marketed coke as coke original and people loved it, exept people wont hate the microtransaction servers the will just love subservers more

for the trial accounts you can just have a noobie isle if need be depending on how the game mechanics work problem solved.

off course it could be that if you wander across a camp that was built up buy a trial account user who has now left. your presented with options do you capture it and sell everything for resources or keep it and use it to your advantage or burn it to the ground and slay the villagers to up your kill count

i personally prefer a monthly sub its just simpler you pay 12 months subscription and forget about it till next year also means game designers dont waste time on designing micrtransactions or how they will work.

plus as some one already mentioned we get a better product.

Thats a nice idea, similar to what I was thinking.

We really do need to know more details about the game to make a proper judgement tho. Hopefully a new interview with a nice level of information is released soonish.

In my opinion I actually rather it not be free, as it will add more funds for future game support, and future exspansions.

If the game looks profitable it will be more likely for whatever publisher to support future exspansions or patch work. Sadly this usually depends on whether or not the publisher sees the game as worth their time.

Ya i think SHk will be very great and if firefly keeps up her work they can make with that one of the best mmo´s ever and also they get maybe new ppl for sh games

At the very least they will get a small but very dedicated fanbase from their previous games. I believe this company would support this game well so it has alot of potential.

ok then i see. noob island lol. scotland the noobland? mabye ireland? what i was saying is that on certain servers its a microtransaction world and on someoworldss you pay a sub fee so you can play on an even playing feild? so we can have both? id play on both

This idea might of already been said but as far as I saw(pages 1-3) it wasnt and I got tired of reading it,so,here it is:

Alot of games do this. They make the entire game free to play, but they add in special features like +5% lumber production boost or +5% stone production boost or something like that for however it works. I'd say 10% but as im sure alot of you have noticed,10% is more than a tiny tip on the scale,it gives them a massive advantage. Or other features like "No in game pop ups" if you have to download a small client for the game like 1 called "Galaxy online". Alot of games that do that add in game advertising to help pay for the game plus it helps stear some people towards buying "Premium" accounts or w/e you wanna call it just to get rid of the advertisement pop ups when you open the game,and when you sign it,and once again when you log out. Another feature would be "Extra buildings" or something like that. Just little buildings that look nice,produce resources a little faster, or produce the same resource but take up less castle space,things like that. So it gives you a boost,but not a major one so much that non players dont stand a chance against you in "End game" if you care to put it that way(tech tree's full and basically now its down to who can pop out the most troops).
