How do I Increase the the building limit? 10 Months, 3 Weeks ago  
I was playing on Free build earlier, and as I was building away, I noticed that the building icons had all faded away. I thought this may be because of the lack of wood/stone. But I had plenty. I demolished the building I just placed and placed It again. This time I read the pop up and I was displeased... Surely the build limit Is not 125... Can you change It?

These limits can be overridden by changing the relevant settings in the Documents/Stronghold 3/Profiles/options.xml file

I also go to XML file but couldn't understand what to change? Can you please explain in details?

Right click on the XML file and open with notepad.

Look for this: single_player_max_buildings="125" single_player_max_troops="300" and edit the limitations to desired number May affect game-play performance.

I don't think there's a maximum but just be aware that it may affect gameplay.

Hi,

You can try to open the file with notepad, edit the numbers, then click save.
