Here are some bugs I've found both in-game and in the map editor. I plan to keep this list updated and tick of
fixed issues as new patches get released. Issues
marked red I think should be fixed first.
Bug list, patch 1.9.26498
Multiplayer and singleplayer games are sometimes very laggy.
Game is still crashing sometimes.
Can't get the map editor action "Switch estate to player" to work. Perhaps it's a bug?
Unit grouping (ctrl + number) is gone after save - load.
Stop command for battering ram, burning cart and trebuchet doesn't work. They continue to move or attack/fire even when ordered to stop.
Archers can light pitch ditches even without access to braziers.
The arrow that appears when ordering units to move and then holding the right mouse button to adjust which way the unit will face when it arrives, doesn't show up if the target is on top of a wall, tower or gatehouse.
There isn't any hatch or door on top of the gate houses. The units arrive through the stone floor.
The baker animation is a bit weird. He first puts an unbaked bread into the oven. Then pulls it out but it is still unbaked. Then the bread changes to baked which he then puts back in the oven.
If goods are given with the actions "Give granary/stockpile/armory goods" in the map editor, they don't show up in the granary/stockpile/armory, only their numbers increase.
The horse cart appears empty when carrying the following goods: wood, meat, venison, clothes, vegetables, honey, wine, bows, spears, crossbows, maces, swords, pikes and armor.
Horse cart and siege equipment doesn't follow the ground when going up- or downhill. They always stay horizontal which looks ugly in steep terrain.

Units still get inside the models of walls and other buildings occasionally.
It is still possible to mount Knights when they are already on top of walls, towers and gatehouses.
Historical siege Chateau de Cousy: Impassable wall between round tower and town gatehouse.
Units still get stuck on stairs, walls, keeps and beneath gatehouses occasionally. Sometimes you can get them free again by selecting them and changing their formation.
Some crew members of the Catapult, Siege tower and Battering ram doesn't walk, they just lazily glide forward.
Archers seem to have almost infinite range when ordered to light pitch ditches.
Invading enemies don't hold together when moving. Fast units run ahead and slow fall behind.
Workers doesn't try to avoid the flames if their workplace is on fire, just continuing to work as usual. They don't even get hurt by it.
The timing of the scribe saying "People are leaving the castle" and "People are coming to the castle" is often not very accurate.
Tower ballista, harpoon, mangonel, haybale launcher and the trebuchet can shoot through buildings and even through stone walls and towers.
When deleting the angle section of a stone wall built in a tight angle, the remaining wall ends is sometimes missing.

Flickering textures on stone wall crenelation ends. Z-fighting?
When starting several maps in a row without restarting the game, the terrain model is sometimes missing when loading a new map, leaving everything hovering in black space. This is fixed by alt+tabbing out of the game and back again.

Sometimes the battering ram shows up only as four wheels.
Walls sometimes leaves undeletable paper thin artifacts when destroyed.
Mounting knights is still a bit glitchy like if they are moving when the horse arrives, they sit up and then glide down to the ground again and continues to run inside their horse.
Graphical glitch with black fields on the sky box visible when in free look (alt+f). I guess it gets worse the larger the map. http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197995982240/screenshot/595834936576757755/?tab=all
It's not possible to change mounted knights stance. Stuck at defensive stance.
Patrol mode for units don't work very well. Sometimes they just get to the patrol waypoint and stops, although the move animation continues.
Unit stance change by itself when setting a group to hold ground, then selecting just a few of the units of the same group and ordering them to move.
When ordering a group of units on top of a tower, keep or gatehouse some of them often stop before getting there.
Hard to build a complete stronghold without encountering errors like impassable walls and places where units fall through.
Game wish list
Add range bonus based on terrain height for ranged units. And/or perhaps a range penalty for ranged attacks shooting at targets above themselves.
Add attack area/group command for units. So when issued the unit continues to kill all enemies in the selected target group/area.
Add possibility to choose which tree woodcutters should cut by perhaps placing an assembly point for the woodcutters to start from.
Add enhanced group formation. Groups of mixed unit types should arrange themselves so that mantlets always stays in front, then strong units like knights and at the back weak units like archers.
Add possibility to set a limit on how many of the same type of resource buildings you could build, when hosting a multi player game. This is to prevent people from building like 20+ wood camps.
Make the building boundaries of towers, gatehouses and bastions smaller.
As it is now you can't issue a move order to a place where a unit already resides. Making this possible, the moving of units on top of walls and towers already occupied, will get a lot easier.
Add possibility to manage which goods the horse cart should transport.
Add a smaller stone gatehouse than the town gatehouse.
Add a force run command for units that are able to run, like macemen and man at arms.
Make units in defensive stance return to original position after they by themselves moved to attack.
Delay unit ascending/descending stone towers, keep and gate houses. Now they just instantly teleport right up/down.
Limit maximum number of units on top of towers, gatehouses and keep. The wooden tower 6 units e.g.
Add siege towers to single player games also.
Add laddermen to single player games also.
Add in-game digging of moats.
Add a skirmish feature.
Add possibility to choose higher resolution textures. Some of them are quite bad at the moment.
Add possibility to increase the culling distance of the grass. It disappears quite abruptly when zooming out as it is now.
Add possibility to place braziers on top of towers, gatehouses, barracks and armory.
Add interiors of towers and keeps like in Stronghold 2.
Add possibility to force a smaller version of hovel when building. Sometimes there isn't room for the larger ones or you don't have enough wood.
Remove the melee units ability to damage walls and buildings made of stone. There are sappers and siege equipment for that.
Add a guard command for units. Unit guarding another unit will follow it around and kill anyone attacking it.
Delete bushes and shrubs when placing a building on top of them.
Animate water surface of swamps.
Limit storage capacity of the stockpile, granary and armory. I think this will add to the realism of the game.
Add ground level door to stone towers. This door should lead via a staircase to the top of the tower or wall and should be automatically locked if enemies tries to go through, just like the gate houses.
Add a move-attack command for units.
Decrease building and tree footprints.
Map editor wish list
Add possibility to specify if the horse cart could be attacked and killed as any other unit.
Add possibility to specify if a captured estate should remain autonomous or if the human player would gain complete control over its buildings and units.
Add possibility to make multi mission campaigns including briefing screens.
Add more waypoints for invading forces. Now there's only two, "entry point" and "target point".
Add possibility to edit unit stances.
Add possibility to set patrol waypoints for units.
Add possibility to specify starting goods for individual players.
Add possibility to make a building placed in the map editor not appear until a set time, making it look like the computer controlled player built it.
Add possibility to use own sound recordings and/or text as campaign speech/messages.
Add possibility mark on the map where you can or can't build certain buildings. E.g. farms only on fertile land.
