well,
I finished my user-made-map and i experienced a lot of lag.
Because i have a Geforce N580 GTX (aprox 6 months old 400 euro card) i found it insane that it has lag. graphics aren't that high in SH3 so i started testing.

This is the result.
Firefly, you really need to take a look at this and see what you can do.
it seems like the video card is barely used by stronghold 3, causing the lagging (and i guess this is what most users experience).

We are currently focussing on crashes and features like difficulty levels. As time goes on we are hoping to improve the performance of XL maps.

well as you can see the CPU usage of the video card is max at startup of the game --> 60%
then you see it drop again all the way, barely using 10% of the CPU from the video card.
note, barely 10% its using

and ingame there is massive lagging, especially when turning it to night modus, got to wait a few seconds when i hit ESC before menu pops up.

there is some serious fixing needed here.

so, some months later i tested again, and the result is...

still huge lagg on xl maps, with a video card that is almost untouched by stronghold 3...

bumping this one up again. is it fixed yet ?
