Do the right thing and pull the plug on this piece of garbage.
You know... it is really sad and pathetic with how many people say this same line without really thinking of what they are saying...
First off, if the plug is pulled on Stronghold what other castle sim is available to step up to the plate?
Second off, there was a reason I stepped out of programing. It wasn't because I couldn't and it wasn't because I wasn't good. In fact I had MANY offers for work in this field with the level of work I could do. The reason I stepped out was because of the difficulty and the time involved with making programs and games. Having someone over you telling you WHEN you had to have the program/game done and often it was an unreasonable time the gave you. You do the best you can, spend more time then you actually get paid for... then the people who receive the program/game have no gratitude for the work that was done in the time that was given (usually not enough time) and telling you to dump the program.
Well guess what, if you stop whining like a child and be a touch patient like an adult and wait for the to complete what they started, it will be a stunning program. The only crime that was done was the programers were not given the resources and time (mostly time) to do the work they were trying to perform.
This is no different than Stronghold 1 where it came out with serious issues and didn't even have half the features working right. After about a month of people nicely telling them bugs and suggestions, the updates and patches will improve Stronghold 3 to the level it should have been on release but they didn't have time due to the publisher (not the programers) telling them to ship.
If anyone is to blame, point your fingers at the publisher that gave them a date they had to ship out. This isn't Firefly's fault. They are working HARD to fix the issues and add the missing features.
Look your just coming accross like some blind fanboy and it is the sad appologist like yourself that are really crumbling this industry nowadays not the publishers.
If players just stated, no this is rubbish and we wont buy again then they will start to sort the flipping industry out.
The problem is that for every complaint, there is some pathetic little fanboy whom states the same garbage you have just spouted because they are hoping that their own little fantasy ideal game will come to them.
These companies are all well and aware that the publisher is gonna ask for a launch date and expect a product on that date. Thats the name of the business you idiot or did you not know that.
The skill is how they use this information into their planning and design. When they get it right something half decent comes out of the door and when they get it wrong, it turns out like this.
It is the Devs fault for turning out garbage not the publishers and it is fanboys like you that let them get away with it cos you fight their battles.
There is nothing wrong with being a fanboy for a working game that is not the tatse of the other person but being a fanboy for a failed product as bad as this game is just one of the most lowest forms of intelligence on the planet.
p.s. oh and the , " we have done programming and know what it is like rubbish" save it. Everyone is pressured in work one way or the other so stop being such mards and stay out of the industry if you cant hack it.
