Oh you...I thought you said you knew some programming along with falcon. I'll just clarify more for you...weak walls are not a bug. They gave the wall hp, and let every unit do a certain amount of damage to the wall. The food production is not a bug. They assigned a ratio of food to be produced in a certain amount of time for each food building. The lack of audio cues is not a bug, they simply didn't put it in.

Now, for what IS a bug. Wolves climbing up ladders is a bug, because they programmed it to have the same 'class' as any normal soldier. normal soldiers can climb ladders, hence so can wolves. The crashes to desktop? Those are also bugs in the programming. I saw another video someone put up where they could control the wolf's units in the last level. You can bet that's a bug.

A bug is something obviously unintentional. An issue is something deliberately put into the game that fans want changed.

yes all of those things you describe are bugs. the game ITSELF is okay

Quite a change of tune from this thread or here.

So first you agree when someone describes the game as an epic fail, then you state "i cant believe that they had like 4 or 3 years to make this game, and they still failed miseraply"
Hey, everyone is allowed to change their minds, but why are you so harsh on those who haven't had your change of heart?

Very good. Nothing wrong with that. But now that you've seen the light, can you stop shoving it down our throats?

I don't doubt the publishers played a major role in it. What does it matter to them if Firefly gets wiped because of it? They'll just move on to the next studio. Like the Don King of game publishers I guess...

Re:Stronghold 3 – We are listening and we are working 1 Year, 6 Months ago
Yeah, that's the sad part. I think a lot of this will get pinned on FF, when nobody will realize that Stronghold and Crusader were published by Take 2, and ever since then they've been bouncing around between different publishers. The publishers are only responsible for the financial end of things...so I don't think I'd go as far as to say only 1/7th is Firefly's fault. But if they got really screwed over on cash I can see how they only had resources to develop the engine and just had to cut out the AI.

But with the massive amount of bugs in the game, I can't say Firefly played a minimal role in developing their game, and that's the key, it's their game. If they got screwed on cash, they could have still made the game stable. I love Firefly, but I can't completely absolve them just because they're under a different publisher again.
