I dare say this is a nice site which Firefly have opened. And good to have an introduction thread here.

In the internet community I go by the name Nigel Loring and have kept to this ever since I started online playing with Stronghold 1 when it came out some several years ago. Initially I was "at home" at the Sword and Pistol Tavern but when this forum disbanded, I found a new residence with the Stronghold Knights. Yes, there seem to be many familiar faces here .

I own SH1, SHC, SH2 and SHL. My main interest lies in Multiplayer games, although real life keeps making it difficult for me these days to find some time. Still, I am happy to take up a challange if anyone is interested.

Other than that I really enjoy the online community which has developed around the Stronghold series and I am hoping this forum too will become a great part of it.

I've just seen this Topic, so I'm going to introduce myself.

I guess that some people know me because of the videos I've uploaded a very long time ago on YouTube, showing some Multiplayers games I've made with some friends. I've started playing "Stronghold" thanks to a friend, who told me : "You're going to love this game !" In fact, the first time I launched "Stronghold", I was quite... reserved. Indeed, I don't like a lot the STR. I sleep in front of Age of Empires 2, and I want to hang myself when I see Civilization 3. But, well, in fact, I must admit that I've adopted immediately Stronghold. Even today, I don't know exactly why I love this game, but I simply love it. So, I started by Stronghold. At this time, I was quite young, and I was a big noob (yes, yes...). For instance, do you remember the game with the Rat, in the military campaign ? When we can for the first time make a stone wall ? Do you remember, now ? So, the first time I tried it (on "Easy" level, of course !), I won by using an army of hunters. Indeed, the enemies assault have destroyed ALL my army !! During some years, I wasn't a strong Player. When I tried Stronghold Crusader (thanks to the same friend), I couldn't reach the 20th skirmish without using trainers !

And, well, with the time, I'm becoming a better Player, I guess... Now, I finish without any problem the skirmish trail, and the military campaign of "Stronghold"... on "Very Hard" level, of course !

I obtained Internet when I was... 13 or 14 years old, something like that. At this time, I wasn't interested at all by the Multiplayer aspect of Stronghold Crusader. Around 2005/2006, I came in JV.com, a French website for video games, and I went in the forum of Stronghold Crusader. Some months later, a little community was created, and a guy had the idea of making a personal forum for us. Stronghold French Heaven, which is now my forum, was born. Actually, I'm the Administrator of this forum, but I'm also the member of a French clan, Les Templiers, where I'm a Weapon Master (the greatest warriors of the clan, in a way). For a few days ago, I've downloaded GameRanger in order to fight against other people. I've been playing on Multiplayer since three years, I hate the map "Contest", the Master Game, catapult's armies, the assassination of my Lord with some assassins, but I love "Survival of the Fittest", which is probably my favorite map, and the ****** war.

Otherwise, during some weeks, I was a member of Stronghold Heaven, where I purposed few maps, and made some reviews. I met some cool guys like Az-Vitrazhas, who gave me some private lessons about mapmaking. I thank him for that. Now, I've followed the advice of Ericgolf, who suggested me to make my own maps. It's definitively done, and I'm doing a great campaign, relating the story of a civilisation through thousand-year old. A quite interesting campaign, which is a cross-over on all the saga. I would really like to give it to yours, but, well, I'm not English, and the scenarios of the maps are very long (about twenty pages per scenario), so traducing that is... well... too difficult for me.

Hello My name is Roman (WL_D Arthus) i'm 21 and living in Melbourne, Australia.

I am a mod at stronghold.heavengames.com under the name of WL_D Arthus and have been playing the original SH since it's release. My cousin and I have been fans of the SH series for many years and make maps under the tag WarLord_Designs quite often.

Though it has taken me a while to sign up to this site i'll make myself a regular poster from here on in, look forward to talking with you all

My names Neil and i'm from Perth, Australia.

I have loved stronghold ever since I first played it. Before I found out about it I had always wanted a game which had more castle building and control over that aspect of a game. Stronghold delivered. It has sucked out many hours of my life, but it was worth it.

With the announcement of Stronghold Kingdoms, I became excited about it's possibilities, and so this is why I am here. Best of luck to the dev's that they can pull this off. I sure hope they can.

I have been playing Stronghold since its release back in 2001, and since then I have all the expansions and sequals to the Stronghold franchise. I go by the name Erif Lionheart, and in Stronghold I go by "Lord Erif". When I am not playing Stronghold, I am playing MMORPGs' one in particular Star Wars Galaxies. When I am not at my computer I enjoy spending time with my wife, friends, family, and playing paintball. Thought I would introduce myself to the community.

I hail from Kansas. Lawrence, KS (USA) to be specific. I came to the Firefly forums because one night not so long ago a friend of mine suggested that I try playing Space Colony. I loved it! I really like Sims/Civs. Its the megalomaniac in me :ftw: It struck me that Space Colony would make a great FB/Mys App game with some minor tweeking.

So! I sought and found this forum/site and posted my suggestion in the Space Colony forum. Sadly I have not the capacity to play Space Colony with this craptop, but I look forward to playing on FB :roll:

I also promote the the use of colon/smiles. :wink: :nudge: :etc: in an internet deal I call Campaign mile: - no link yet.

Before I check out I would like to point out that App games and D&D share a specific element that I feel puts the App games under the purview of a "D&D PhD" ... it is that fact that you don't loose. I feel that is the major dif between a standard VG and an App game. Most App games do not let you "loose" (in fact none to my knowledge). Similarly you cannot "loose" at D&D. You can have a bad time 'cause the play conductor is a jerk, but by the nature of how you play you cannot actually "loose" - even character death is only a story element.

Anyway - I thought I would introduce myself! I will probably be back to check on my thread periodically. Wait.. I think it might be in the wrong ..um.. heading? can that be fixed or should I repost? (PM)

Hey my name is Keith and ive been a fan of Stronghold since the first game came out, After a year ive got bored of the first Stronghold then Crusaders games out and was so happy that i could now play offline with bots and now more series came out with many improvements ! im so happy. I'm so excited for Stronghodl 3 and i cant wait to get it ! Also It's about time Firefly got a MMO its such a great idea !
Well apart from that, on my free time i usually play games such as Age of Empires III and Stronghold series, When im not playing I would usually be designing my own websites on Photoshop, Have you tried the new CS5 ? its amazing. Also I code my sites sometimes when i have even more extra time with HTML , CSS and Javascript
I'm thinking of making videos soon , but im not sure. Well thats all for now, thanks for reading,
