hey... it wouldn't have been a ridiculous move
I think it is quite sad we have phased out 2D games personally, not saying i'm disapointed because i'm actually very happy FF have a new 3D engine but there really isn't a reason to see 2D as inferior.
Infact looking back i'd say 2D games have outlasted 3D games in terms of visuals, they age allot slower. 2D has its limitations,sure, but there are also advantages people seem to forget. I digress,
I'm eager to hear more on the new engine
