By that I mean constant updates and new features to let us explore more ways to make our gameplay more enjoyabled rather than just repeating what we already accomplished. Some things that this game needs:
-Sea battles~ you can place stationary boats only, they cant hold troops on board or do anything but look pretty. Plus seiging a castle from land and sea would be very interesting. (perhaps a troy attack??)A Boat seige vehicle that of course doesn't ride anywhere but water that is deep enough, or maybe two types of boats with the other being able to ride shallow rivers and streams.
-Old features from stronghold 2~ such as towers that can board castle walls (The picture to the right of this shows a tower approaching the castle, but I get no tower from map editor), the old beach features from palms to varius sand types, and ofcourse I'm sure many want the old troops back (Mainly the assassins right people?)
-More enviroments~ We finally get night and storm which is great for making attacks at night freightful but for years of work only 2 new enviroments can't cut it. How about snow (With snow textures and trees as well)? There is wind sounds but no wind effects. Not asking to incorporate tornados or some ridiculous disaster because this isn't the day after tomorrow the video game, it is Stronghold 3. Just simple weather effects that like there are meant to do, set a new scene for your mission.
-Still no caves~ before in stronghold 2 you could cheat in a way to make a cave look but it didnt lead anywhere and was only the map getting distorted. Like diablo 3 has it, looking behind mountains or buildings just makes them see through for the camera to get a good look at you, the same could be done for caves. Plus making land bridges could be possible if you could make actual cliffs and leads to a whole new mountain design for the map editor to fiddle with. The "Raise/Lower" landscape feature would just have to add a new bullet point for cutting horizontally into mountains. Sounds easier said than done but with your new engine and a team that has come this far, I see no way this couldn't be possible.
-Only 1 waterfall? and tree resources offer very little variety in terms of looks and size (2 looks, 1 size, not alowed to be scalled). A few more varieties of each would be nice. Not necesarily trees like Pandora (Avatar) but a few size differences so its not just a flat canopy.
-Ruins were an excellent addition but what If I want to make an occupied castle look war torn? A set level of destruction when I place castle walls, enhancments, or just buidlings in general could really set the scene for a some neat maps.

I have to agree. Try to update the game more often and even maybe introduce some time features like a certain resource for just a certain amount of time.
Bring more variety the monotony is usually a game killer.
