The strangeness continues I installed a program to monitor the GPU temp. And when that is open in background stronghold 3 starts no problem... I have no idea whats going on, but it works now so thnx

Good to see its working now Make sure the card doesn't go up the maximum temp. It appears my card slightly overheats with Stronghold 3 than most games so I run in medium settings.

Good to see you found a way to play the game Yes, good idea to keep an eye on the temp, SH3 is more demanding on the graphics than one would expect.
