I spent most of my teenage years on Stronghold 1 and 2, absolutely love both games,

spent a fair time on crusader and legends as well, gave kingdoms a shot but didnt stay on it long.

the only game ive never played is crusader extreme.

I only got introduced to gaming 3 years ago by my grandson and we spent all our time on Legends. I like Legends but not fond of the fantasy troops, so I tried to avoid using the fantasy towers. I have recently been playing a lot of SH2 and really like it. I only play multiplayer with my grandson, otherwise I only do skirmish.

I'm curious about Kingdoms. Is it anything like SH2? Do you have to be a strong multi-player or could you kind of play like skirmish? Why did you not stay with Kingdoms?

Kingdoms is a real time game, you build a building and you have to wait for a certain amount of time (can be several hours) for it to be build, im not a big fan of games that are like that.

it plays like SH1, well, the graphics are from SH1, and it is a massive multiplayer game, so i would say play it like a multi player game.

SH2 is a beast, i loved all the micro management, the gong and rat system and crime system etc. made it look like a proper real castle, the ONE thing i did not like from that game was the walls, one hit from a siege machine and all your troops on that wall go flying off and die, should at least take a few hits before a wall starts to crumble, they were designed to withstand fire from catapults etc... for a bit anyway

I loved SH2 also. My only complaints were that it seemed a little too heavy on the micro (merging the gong and rat elimination facilities into 1 structure would have made it just about right, I think), and again, the walls had the habit of throwing troops into the air whenever they were grazed by a catapult projectile.

30 hours with about 42 in the Map Editor. On the subject of SH2, I thought it was alright if played by itself, but compared to 1 and Crusader mediocre. It did many things, yes, but it didn't do any of them well. I did not play Legends, because that game never existed. No. Stronghold Legends is in fact a legend itself, and did not happen. Ever

117 hours since release day for me..

Mostly all of it in freebuild mode plus another 10-20 in the editor (which I only started messing around with very recently).

14 hours ...
since I bought the game at the beginning of the year.
Donīt think the time will grow in the foreseeable future, unless the single player part of the game changes considerably

As for the previous parts ...
countless hours with SH1, SH:C and also lots of hours with SH2 (although, I assume, less than with the first part of the game)

I can't bring myself to even play it, by the time the game gets built up and good.... lag takes over.

I usually have steam in offline mode so I don't have much hours on record yet I do play alot. I might say atleast 2 hours a day and I bought it in the beginning ov the year. I might say around 300 hours if I count those offline mode hours

There's not going to be a Skirmish mode. Joe.

I have above 70 hrs of game play for Sh3 according to Steam. And like some ppl here I have played it in offline mode but I am not certain for how long, but definitely for over 100 hrs.

But I use editor A LOT. I am sure I have over 500 hrs in Map Editor.
