Castle Attack Legends is a game that was developed to advertise and promote the release of Stronghold Legends. Programmed by Dustin Russell, the game was never released as it was considered too similar to Castle Attack 2 to warrant a proper release. The game is now being made available, purely for completeness sake. The balancing is slightly off, as development was stopped before it was finalised. While Castle Attack Legends is very much the same game as Castle Attack 2, though the enemy troop types have changed, as well as the player's tactical aids.

• Saxon Warriors are the first and most common enemy troop in the game.
• Werewolves first appear in level 3 and are slow moving but hard to kill.
• Giant Demonic Bats first appear in level 4, and swoop down from the sky when they reach the walls to deal out damage.
• Ice Giants take alot of hits and are deadly if they reach your walls, but are easy to hit cause of their size.
• Vampyric Creepers show up from level 6 onwards, and much like Crossbowmen from Castle Attack 2, they launch a ranged attack from halfway across the battlefield.
• Enchanted Orbs are the last unit and only siege craft to appear, and launch a wall-smashing orb from across the battlefield.
• Pressing Z lets the play Cast Dragon's Breath, which sees Merlin appear in front of the walls and wipe-out any immediate danger with a blast of fire.
• The X key Casts The Sword of Albion, giving each of the players archers two arrows with each volley at different angles, perfect for wiping out huge numbers of enemies.
• The C key is the most deadly of the tactical aids, Cast Holy Blast, wiping out all visible enemies bar Bats with an almighty ground-shaking blast.
