Stronghold Kingdoms Update
Friday, 29 January 2010
skull_thumb.png

Good news/bad news time.  The bad news is that the next Alpha test has been put back to February.  The good news is that the reason for the delay will make Stronghold Kingdoms even better!  We don't know how massive Stronghold Kingdoms is going to become so its important that we plan ahead for all eventualities.

As a result we are making some major upgrades to the backend systems that power Stronghold Kingdoms which from a technical point of view is a bit tricky and therefore takes a bit of time.  The changes will allow us to easily scale up as the number of players grow minimising any downtime which is great for us and great for you.

We have also selected the players that will be invited to take part in the Alpha and we will be emailing all the chosen ones soon.  Don't worry if you missed out this time as there is still the public beta to come later in the year.  Its not too late to guarantee your place in the beta.

Charles I dissolved parliament and begun the Eleven Years Tyranny. Charles believed that he had divine right and required no guidance in the rulings of his Kingdom and thus required no democracy. The high taxation and divine rule would eventually lead to the English Civil War which begun in 1642, despite Charles reinstating parliament in 1640.
